In Resident Evil Requiem (RE9), a single wrong turn or skipped step can permanently lock collectibles, one-time events, or even trophies. This guide maps every missable in the campaign — chapter by chapter — so you can hit 100% completion on your first playthrough.
| For players | 100% completion / trophy hunters / first-run planners |
| Coverage | All 8 chapters |

Why missables matter in RE9
Unlike most modern Resident Evil entries, RE9 has multiple one-way chapter transitions. Once you leave a chapter, every collectible, event, and trophy gated to that chapter is permanently closed for that playthrough. For trophy hunters this is especially brutal — some trophies are only obtainable within a single chapter window.
This guide covers 4 categories of missables:
- Collectible locks: Mr. Raccoon dolls, antique coins, files, weapons inaccessible after chapter end
- One-time events: NPC dialogues, environmental interactions, cutscene variants
- Trophy locks: Trophies that can only be earned within specific chapters
- Weapon/tool locks: Limited pickups only available during one chapter

Tips to never miss anything
- Save in a new slot at the start of every chapter — gives you a backtrack point if you realize you missed something
- Check the chapter checklist on this page before triggering any chapter-transition cutscene (keep this page open on mobile)
- Insanity-run players: follow this guide religiously — Insanity's chapter-select unlocks are inconvenient
- NG+ can recover most misses — but trophies count per-playthrough, so plan accordingly
- Microsoft Clarity data from our user base shows the highest 100%-completion failure rate is in Chapters 2 and 6 — be extra thorough in those two
