The Silencer 9 is arguably the best pistol in RE9 — silenced kills don’t alert nearby enemies, making it the stealth-build cornerstone. Starter weapon you have from Wrenwood. Best paired with Whisper charm for full silent runs.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Base damage | 60 per shot |
| Headshot multiplier | ×2.0 (120 damage per headshot) |
| Magazine size | 12 → 18 (T3) |
| Reload speed | 1.5s → 0.9s (T3) |
| Stealth bonus | Silenced — no enemy alert |
| Unlock location | Starter weapon (Wrenwood) |
| T1 → T3 upgrade cost | 3,000 + 4,000 + 6,000 = 13,000 currency |
| Best use case | Stealth kills, pre-boss enemy clearing |
Starter weapon — you begin Wrenwood Hotel with the Silencer 9. No unlock or pickup needed.
Skip upgrades on first playthrough — save currency for Requiem Revolver. On stealth-build NG+, upgrade to T2 minimum.
Whisper (silent movement) + Bloodhound (track enemies) + Crafter’s Touch (more ammo). 4th slot: Marksman’s Eye for headshot scaling.
Silencer 9 is THE pistol for stealth. For combat damage, swap to Requiem Revolver. Don’t treat them as equivalent — different roles.
Silencer 9 is universal. S&S M232 is Grace-exclusive with higher base damage but no silencer. Stealth = Silencer 9, raw damage = M232.
Chapter 4 Courtyard (stealth section), Chapter 6 RPD basement (Mr. X stalking phase). Avoid Chapter 8 — bosses need bigger guns.
